Sigfox, the first operator of a cellular network fully dedicated to machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) communications announced the collaboration with Telit to increase penetration of the Internet of Things (IoT). The solution is based on a completely new and unique cellular network, which is being rolled out worldwide -  Ultra Narrow Band (UNB) technology, which makes it possible to operate on unlicensed frequency bands available worldwide and with fewer antennas. The long-range data transmission drastically reduces power-consumption and therefore carbon footprint and maintenance costs.
