Hi all, my company is looking to branch into M2M services, specially the carrier space portion of it. My manager has asked me to research how to become a Wireless Access Provider Network. However, all I have been able to come up with so far is a description of a network provider that aggregates subscriber traffic and passes it off to a carrier at layer 2. Any help on how this relates to M2M or where I can look up more information would be appreciated.
PS: Apologies if this was posted in teh wrong section.
I'm no expert in this field but you should maybe have a look at a company called Neul (Cambridge, United Kingdom) and Whitespace technology. If I understand correctly this would enable you to build networks without the cost associated with 2G or 3G mobile operation.
Take a look at and maybe join the new Weightless group on Linkedin. You can ask questions there also. As an entrepreneur I see whitespace and M2M as the next big tech opportunity. I found it as Neul is a new company founded by the guys from Cambridge Silicon Radio who arguably took Bluetooth to where it is now.
