My company has experience with collecting data from older construction equipment that wasn't designed to connect an M2M device. What information would you like to get from the equipment? How do you want to access that information?
I look forward to hearing back from you.
I have been working on numerous devices mostly custom for this type of market.
Most commonly people want a tracking solution however more recently i have seen requests and been working on designs that include RFID readers for authorization of use, time used etc, this often then control the battery connection to the machines starter as well.
Generally it is quite easy to retrofit. to these types of machines.
