With the increase use of M2M/IoT associated devices in everyday life - the key question is whether these connected devices proliferation require some sort of regulation , especially considering the huge amount of data that is generated. Security and Privicy are key areas of concerns but can these concerns be mitiagted by regulations etc ..

Interesting article! I defenitely think smart devices need regulations. The Internet of things is coming. Within a few years there will be many, many products connected via the internet. And they will be produced by developers who didn´t have a lot of contact with the security practices. I really don´t want to blame them, but this might become a problem. Therefore regulations might be a good way to set standards that enforce certain security standards.
